In case tonight's homework is confusing...

Folks,

We are still looking at the author's purpose. Don't worry, we are just using a more structured process. You should have gotten this homework tonight (below).

I made some notes in the boxes to help you focus your thinking. Essentially, you are providing the author's purpose and then providing evidence to prove your "purpose" is correct. Check my prompts.

Happy homework!

Grade Reports and Extra Credit Went Home Tonight!

Greetings All,

Tonight, a few things should be coming your way:
  1. We were able to pass back some graded work today. Note that we go over homework in class and students correct their mistakes as we review.
  2. Grade reports also went home. Please keep in mind that only one report will be printed bi-weekly (paper costs money, family). If for some unfortunate reason your scholar loses his or her grade report, you can always check Schoolmax in the interim.
  3. An extra credit assignment (as in just one) will be sent home with each grade report. No other extra credit or extra credit packets will be awarded.
That's all for now. Have a great weekend!
