Greetings Family,
Here we are. Halfway through the quarter.
Mr. Barnes- Math
In the algebra class, we will be continuing the beginning of unit five which deals with functions, exponential functions, and quadratic equations.
In the math eight , we will be completing systems of equations and inequalities. On Friday, we will test the entire unit.
Ms. Holt- Science
Ms. Holt will be supporting students' transition to high school science by covering a variety of topics. This week we will be studying environmental science.
Ms. Shepard-English
Ms. Shepard is back! Students have begun work on their end of the year essay. Our essay will be a research paper comparing Elie Wiesel's experience with that of a given example (bullying, another Holocaust survivor, or genocide). Expect English grade reports to go out tomorrow (Thursday). They will be due on Friday.
Mr. Banks- Social Studies
This week we will examine how Federalism works. We will also address the conflict between the Anti-Federalist and the Federalist.
There is a NEW History Project! The specifications are as follows:
Take a trip on your own to the Holocaust Museum. Take the tour. Take a selfie with the tour guide while holding the brochure. Type a one page paper about your experience (12 FONT). This is DUE on 6/5/2015.
