Greetings Family,

Here we are. Halfway through the quarter.

Mr. Barnes- Math

In the algebra class, we will be continuing the beginning of unit five which deals with functions, exponential functions, and quadratic equations.

In the math eight, we will be completing systems of equations and inequalities. On Friday, we will test the entire unit.

Ms. Holt- Science

Ms. Holt will be supporting students' transition to high school science by covering a variety of topics. This week we will be studying environmental science.

Ms. Shepard-English

Ms. Shepard is back! Students have begun work on their end of the year essay. Our essay will be a research paper comparing Elie Wiesel's experience with that of a given example (bullying, another Holocaust survivor, or genocide). Expect English grade reports to go out tomorrow (Thursday). They will be due on Friday.

Mr. Banks- Social Studies

This week we will examine how Federalism works. We will also address the conflict between the Anti-Federalist and the Federalist.

There is a NEW History Project! The specifications are as follows:

Take a trip on your own to the Holocaust Museum.  Take the tour.  Take a selfie with the tour guide while holding the brochure.  Type a one page paper about your experience (12 FONT).  This is DUE on 6/5/2015.
